Larry June is from San Francisco, and he embodies his own brand of West Coast sound. He likes to rap about personal things over “cool-@ss beats,” so many critics dub him “authentic.” He has a mixtape, 2 EPs, and 8 albums under his belt. His latest album The Great Escape was produced by The Alchemist. It features artists like Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, and Action Bronson. His chill vibe and optimism are apparent in his hits like “Watering My Plants” and “Smoothies in 1991.”

In May 2023, BET named Larry June as its BET Amplified artist. That’s essentially being named the “next big thing” in music. He was on the Best of 2022 lists from Rolling Stone and Associated Press. He’s all about that hustle–he made four albums in 2020 while the rest of the world was baking literal bread. Aside from his music, Larry June also has a clothing line, Midnight Organic, juice brand Honeybear Boba, and his own Larry June store. Larry June is fresh and organic in both sound and personality.
